Lighting! Need help

Hi!

Have the biocube 29ga and lighting is stock. Can anyone explain the different lighting settings and what each one is for? There's a dark moonlight one.. There's another that turns on a fan and the third is just a bright daytime. Have no idea what the difference is between them. Please help!

I plan to get some frags soon which lighting settings would be good for them?

So moon lights are for night time. After a cycle of daylights. Just to give you some night time viewing. Some critters will come out if there not too bright. Day light is what you will use for the 6 to 12 hours you dicide to use your lights. Fan is to keep those lights cool. It's probably a good idea to use fan when ever day light is on. What kind of frags are you going to get? I don't have a bio cube. But I don't know if those lights can grow sps. But I could be wrong.

Awesome! Thanks... Also when you start putting in soft coral frags does the moonlight need to be on during the night? What light do they need during the day?

You don't need to use moon lights at all. There just there for your viewing pleasure.
The white lights durning day, it's common for people to run lights 8 to 10 hours. Some run them more some run them less

So if I had moon lights. My main light shuts off at 8. So my moons would come on from 8 to 11 or so.
