Hi could someone please tell me what time would be best to turn on and off the lights in my tank the blue/white individual lighting systems, I have corals and clown fish?

What time would be best to feed both corals and fish?

Thank you

When you turn them on is up to you, the lights mimic the sun, so they fish don't know any better. You would want the lights to be on the most when you're around to enjoy the tank. I run mine from 10AM - 10 PM. With a period between 2-6 PM where the light is the strongest.

You want to feed when the lights are on, otherwise everything is hiding and sleeping. Some corals would feed better at night, but you can still target feed them during the day. Fish will hide and sleep when the lights are out.

Ok thank you for the advice.
Just one more question do you know the name of a good water testing kit or any kit i should be using? also were can I buy such product?

Thanks again xbrentx

One of the more popular online sites is Bulk Reef Supply, I personally don't have any brand preference, but I'm sure someone will chime in with some good and bad experiences with different brands.

i've had problems with API test kits. i won't use them anymore, they are junk IMO.

i've had good results with SeaChem test kits and Hannah Alkalinity testers.

i've heard others liking Salifert quite a bit.

i've heard mixed reviews about red sea.
