Hello! Just wondering what lighting are everyone using for the nuvo 10. I am thinking about the kessil a80 or the AI Prime HD

I hate to say this but I would go with the a80 on that tank. Normally I would DIY but, for the cost and the color it's decent lower light option.

Now, if you need more light then definitely go with the AI or a DIY setup.

Nano box is beautiful but $$$ for a tank that size if you ask me.

i had two ai prime hd over a 40b. go with the ai prime hd i believe. its a good light with significant more power than the a80.

I am so confused ‍♂️ my favourite LFS is a firm believer in the AI but my family prefers the kessil as it has been used to power some of our freshwater tanks and they trust the brand

kessil is good, but the ai prime hd is just a heck of a deal. a80 is around $130 and at 15 watts (maybe 18) i believe, the ai prime hd is at 45 watts, with built in wireless and at $200. the kessil light that competes with ai prime hd is a160 and that is around $230. the ai hd prime is significantly more powerful, has controllability out of the box (by phone). andyou could possibly use the ai prime light with on a bigger tank. with the kessil, you would either have to remember to turn on and offf each day or buy additional timer for it. i think a simple on/off timer plug is like 15 bucks. if counting the timer for kessil, the ai is only aboutt 55 more. bulk reef supply and marine depot both have very good videos on the ai prime hd on you tube. i would link it to you, but at work.

My vote is for the AI Prime HD, works great.. 35% power has 200 PAR at the top, 100 PAR at the bottom no problem. Have LPS in the tank, was SPS dominant for awhile and was able to get 400+ PAR very easily at 60 - 75% power. Mobile APP is awesome, wifi connected, all in one. Easy Easy.

I was considering both of those options before I went with a micmol aqua mini marine g3 for my nuvo 10. 60w, includes the tank mount and goes for $150. No wireless programming though. You have to do it with the included buttons and it's a bit clunky. Here's a pic shortly after filling my tank
