So... I am upgrading to a 75g Reef Ready that has a center brace. What have you all done with trying to light where there is a brace? I have 2 AI Prime HD that I will be moving to the new tank on the left and right. Does anyone think a Hydra 26 would do well dead center since the fixtures on the unit are a little spread apart? I will be hanging the lights with pipe about 10 inches above tank.

Thanks!!

Ive never had AI Primes but I have a 240g with two braces and have had no issues as the lights are on each side of the brace. You should still have coverage since the light isn't focused on one spot but goes out at an angle, you might have to play with the height of the fixtures to ensure the light intersects where you want them to to maintain coverage.

I was thinking of running a led T5 hybrid to allow more diffused light. But I will make my own if I go that route. I may need to boost it up to 12 inches to hit max spread. But I did get my skimmer today. Reef octopus 150int. Way larger than I thought. Had a feeling a 20g long would be too small to run a refugium as well...
