Hi guys, I have a macroalgae setup that is meant for seahorses. I just got a lighting fixture that is actually meant for freshwater plants.

The specs are as shown

DescriptionLength with Extendable Stand5000K LED BulbRGB LED Bulb4500K LED BulbTotal Energy Consumption
AL479Spectra Planted 6060-80cm1.5W x 12pcs1.5W x 6pcs1.5W x 6pcs36W

But recently i thought of adding soft corals like seafans/gorgonians to add variety to the tank.

Would a freshwater light fixture be sufficient for soft corals?

That light uses 1.5w LEDs 36w total, most sw lights use at least 3w and are 300w+, So I’d say no.
