Hey I have a 75g mixed reef and it is past the time I should have replaced my lights and corals are showing it. I had financial miss hap causing me to wait in the lights, but everything is back on track now. I do not understand lighting at all and was wondering if someone could help me understand and what to put on my tank.

I am on budget, so I will probably have to stick with just replacing my t5 bulbs. Have quad t5 fixture.

If you are thinking about led lighting check out buildmyled.com. They also did a talk at macna this year very good vid and very infrormative check it out.

If you're sticking with your T5, then grab a pair of ATI Coral Plus and Blue Plus, or Giesemann Aquablue Coral and Actinic Blue. Either option has you dropping around $100.

Most would say ATI are the best bulbs. You could try running 2 blue plus and 2 coral plus ATI bulbs.
Or take one of the blue plus out and add a purple plus.

For the most part with any lighting you need to find a balance between what the corals need for photosynthesis and what you find pleasing to look at.

Here's a video from a vendor that might help.
