Have a 36x24x24 90 gallon. Have 4 24w t5 and 2 radio xr 30 pros for the tank. Don't wanna over do it so what combo would be best? 1 xr30 or both? 1 xr 30 and the t5s? Know 1 xr30 covers 36 inches so I'm thinking the cross spread from 2 might have the par of the sun in the center lol. Keeping mostly softies and lps. TIA!

Depending on how far above the tank you put the lights I wouldn’t run intensity too high on the Radions. I’d also use both for better spread. I have 3 Radions XR 30 pros and four 80 watt T5’s above a 62” tank, although I’m primarily sps. Just be care with light acclimation so you don’t melt the tank. I’d run the radions alone at first minus the T5s. I think it’ll be too much for your LPS and softies. Also, I’d run the radions from front to back length wise, not across. If you ever start an sps tank the T5s will be a fantastic addition. :)

With softies and LPS, the 4x T5s are enough to do nearly everything. I would run them for 9-10 hours and then use the Radions for nighttime, blacklight and other viewing... add them in for the pop that you like.
