I have a 14 biocube with the new LED lighted hood with timer. I only have 2 clowns, hermit crabs, emerald crab, live rock, small protein skimmer, a hammer coral, dead or dying star polyps, and a whole lot of red algae with white dots. Dosing with VIBRANT now. Doing it once a week.

I have it set for 12 hours reef light, 5 hours of white light, and six hours of the other blue light. In a bathroom, so a little natural light sneaks in also. Is this a good amount of light?

Thanks!!!

Should be enough light on paper- most tanks get between 8-12 hours of light with some doing peak lighting (full intensity) of 4-6 hours. The best way to tell will be based on the hammer and how well it grows/happy it appears.

Thanks!! My hammer looks just fine, so maybe I am ok. Thanks! Now, if I could just get rid of this red algae...:-)
