Hello,

I am planning to re work my lighting settings cause I found out I did something that wasn’t optimal with it. But I just had a few questions before I did it that I wanted to ask and see if anybody knew the answers to these questions.

First question is if there is a definitive answer for how long lights should be on for? I am seeing lots of 12h setups so I am guessing that is the best. And I guess my second question adds onto it. I see that people recommend a 1 - 2 hour blue light period before and after white lights come on and off. Does that blue light period count in the 12h span or is it additional time on the cycle which would actually make it more than 12 hours?

Thanks
- Sam

Mine I run for 12 hours total with only 5 being peak lighting. Rest of the time is a ramp up or down.

I have my on for 10hrs with a very small ramp up and down period. They stay in the LPs/softie profile that's in the Mobius app the entire time.
I'm interested to follow along here to see what people are doing. I only have three small frags in the tank that I put in last March as my first corals.

Was wondering what you thought of this, I’m debating having whites on the high point for longer then what I currently have just come up with. But I’m not entirely sure. The time between the beginning of the 50% rise and the end of the 50% rise is 5 hours but it’s only 75% for 3 of hours with a rise and lower for 1 hour from 50%

Mine is much more gradual. Try to mimic daylight in my head
