I am upgrading a 30 gal cube (250 MH w/actinic sup) to a standard 90.
My issue is that the canopy is not very tall (8-10 inches).
Originally I wanted to go with 2 250 mh w/t5 actinics. However, not sure if the canopy will allow it.
The store I bought the tank from is recommending a 6 bulb Wave Point T5 retro setup.
The tank will be mainly SPS with a lot of acros.
I have 2 nanos w/leds and find that some SPS grow well with the leds, but overall the mh are better for SPS.
Any recommendations on lighting?
Thanks.

T5HO, with ICR (Individually Contoured Reflectors) and Advanced Electronic Ballasts, will allow you to grow anything you want. I'm currently running 10X54 T5HO, over a 200 Deep Dimension and can grow Acros on the sand bed. It's 27" deep and the lights are about 6" above the water surface.

Thanks for the reply.
So if I go with a 6 bulb set up, what bulbs should I get?
Should I get 3 2 bulb ballasts instead of 1 4 bulb and 1 2 bulb so I have more options for timed lighting?

Personally, I'd go with a 2 bulb and 4 bulb ballast. Your bulb choices will depend on the look you want.

I use:
5 ATI Aquablue Special
5 ATI Blue Plus

Alternating, front to back.
