Hello Everyone!
I've been a long time lurker on here, and I've been out of the hobby for a little over 6 years. I'm getting ready to set up a new Deep Blue 74 Gallon Rimless Tower -24x24x30- and I'm looking for suggestions on lighting. I am planning on keeping mostly SPS in this tank.
For lighting, I am thinking LEDs, maybe supplemented with t5s. I know for this depth, some of you will say MH is the way to go, but the engineer side of me says LEDs are cool, and the side of me trying to keep my wife happy says they use too much power. That said, what would your dream lighting solution for this sort of tank be? Which LED fixture or fixtures would you recommend. Do you think I need to supplement with t5s to avoid shadowing? I would like to keep my lighting budget within $1000. The less I spend, the more I get to spend on coral.
Thanks in advance!
