I'm looking for some lighting recommendations. I have a 135 gallon tank (72 X 18 X 20). Currently I have a Hamilton retro twin halide 250K with twin 96 watt actinics, but I'm dissatisfied with the look. Any suggestions?

if you want LED reefbreeders is a good option and is pretty affordable too..

I've considered LEDs, but would that be bright enough for my size of tank? I guess I always go back to the old you have to have 5 watts per gallon. Does that still hold true?

no.. watts per gallon is about useless, particularly for LED.. you want to measure PAR.. you can definitely get more than enough PAR with LED, especially since your tank is only 20" deep..

I think maybe two 32" photons would work well.. might ask on their subforum..

also, shop around, don't pick your lighting based on what one persone says.. it's just my opinion that reefbreeders is about the best bang for the buck right now.. and they have a pretty solid mix of LEDs..
