I have an old Coralife Lunar Aqualight with 6 96W 34-inch square pin power compact bulbs, 125g 6-ft tank, soft corals, fish. I have been happy. However, I went online to find two 50-50 bulbs to replace the existing ones and have found that everyone is out of stock suddenly. I cannot decide whether to wait and hope they come into stock (fearing they will not), or to change to 4 whites and 2 actinics, or to 4 actinics and 2 whites, or to say "F it" and go T5 or led or combo.

If I go new, I cannot figure out what wattage I need to parallel my current lighting setup as far as par or whatever. I also dread trying to explain to my wife why I need to spend a fortune on a new setup.

I also don't get why there are no 72-inch fixtures any more.

Please help this dinosaur reefer!

6x 60" T5 would be pretty close.

T5 do not come in 72"... just 60. You have to buy 2 36" fixtures. :(

It does not have to be expensive. Get the new bulbs and take some time to find a used unit, which you can probably get for 40-50 cents on the dollar if you are patient.
