Do any of you run only blue lights over your tank? I wasn't sure if that was a thing or not. Or do any of you run blues during the day and whites for a few hours towards the evening or morning? I was thinking about it the other day when I was looking at my coral and noticed my coral really seems to look a lot better and fuller when the blue lights are on rather than whites. Also I noticed the blue lights are more intense than the white lights at the same level.

I always run my blues 10% more then whites. My day starts off with greens at 8am slowly slowly by 8:30am the greens have gone from 5% to 10 and blues have come on at 10% gradually. The whole day the light are on whites, blues( there are 2 different shades of blue), purple, green and red. Then towards 19:30 all my lights start dimming down to blues only & 20:00 the blues start dimming to green lights go off 20:15. I just do this protocol because I enjoy with blue lights. Sorry can comment on if the corals benefit from them!

What kind of lights do you have and how far off the water are they?

I usually run my T5 Actinics from 9 am to 7 pm. The MH bulb is only on from 11 am to 5 pm. So basically there's about 4 hours each day where it's just blue light.

I have the coral box moon led! They haven't been around long but after research I decided to get them and yes I'm definitely impressed! My tank in 2.5 ft high and a half a foot about the water line are the lights. Maximum I'm running them is 50% white 60% blue. That's from midday till 1500 then they start to cycle down by 10% an hour (average)
