Hi.
Just have a couple of questions
I have IM 20 and running with
1 AI prime 16 hd
I know its enough but also im thinking to upgrade my tank into Red Sea 170 Max-E
Would 1 16 hd enough for 170 max-e?
Or sell my 16 hd and get 26 hd or even 32?
or any other recommendation?
Btw im not upgrading till the end of the year.
TIA

The prime 16hd has an 24x24 spread. A single one could be find for LPS and softies but this depends on the settings you have. Maxing out the blue and violet channels might do this for you. With 100% on each channels you get 100 par at 24 inches away from the light (however this is not accounting for going over 100 with the violets/blues) . The max-e 170 is 24 24x22.6x22 (lxwxh). It would not hurt to have a second prime or a single 32 but I can't say with a guarentee that the 16hd would work alone as it depends on the corals you are keeping and where you are placing them

I am going to add 2 AI primes to my Red Sea max e-170. Does anyone have any ideas if this will work for sps ?
