Lighting suggestion

Hi,

I'm looking to add another strip of light to the back of the tank

I use to have 2 150w MH (DE 14k phoenix bulb) with 2 48" retrofit t5..I recently removed both t5 bulbs and added 1 reefbrite XHO actinic blue LED

I want to add another strip to the tank, just not sure if should add another actinic blue, or 50/50 or any suggestion you guys have

75g tank with sps predominately from mid to top and zoas mostly on the bottom

thats the thing..i dont think i really need it..theres enough coverage from the MH and almost enough coverage with the led..im not sure if adding another Led would be an overkill

If your SPS are doing fine then you don't. A par meter would solve your problem so that you would know if it will be an issue

I agree. It would be just visual pleasure.

IMO. A blue morning and night pop is darned cool. I like the blue to white transition with the leds as well. Then the peak color starts.
I did this with my t5 led and my led only.
Basically this makes my tank four seperate colors. Three of them repeat twice a day.
I'd use a par or lux meter to avoid overdose and create an even ramp.

i think with your references, there was enough spectrum to cover your tank already

The 150W HQI are enough by themselves. Do whatever else you want just for looks and for you.
