Howdy everyone!
I’m looking for some lighting suggestions for my 60gallon standard trim with middle brace.
I am unsure what types of corals I will keep but I don’t want to be very limited by my light selection.
I’d like to be as budget friendly as possible without ending up in a situation where I will certainly need to purchase new equipment down the road.

Viparspectra 165

Has been investigated by Bulk Reef Supply as their choice "if you have to run a black box" I have run them next to Radion XR15 and visually could not tell the difference. Yes the 500.00 light would be a better choice, but Viparspectra have gotten better spectrum in the last few years.

Illumagic Pixels, straight on/off with limited/no control however very powerful and can run multiple units off one plug. Can mix between the options with a single, dual and quad power supply. Can add on more units later if required.

Well, I don't have a suggestion for you on a particular light specifically, but this is one piece of equipment that, IMO, should always be done right the first time. And this does not mean that more expensive is better. There are a few fixtures out there that are really good.....But they're also overpriced. So more $$$ doesn't always=better. As stated above, spectrum is really important. Are you looking to keep Softies? LPS? SPS? It sounds as if you already realize this....I just had to get my 2 cents in......
