What time do you have your lights coming on and going off.
I didn’t notice my lights was coming on so early till this morning they was coming on at 5 am and I have them set to go off at 10 pm. I went and changed it to 7 -10 what’s a good time I had it set to 10 for viewing at night but most time corals are ready to sleep by then

I run my photoperiod from noon to 11PM. That way, I can see how everything is doing when I get home from work in the evening.

My metal halides come on at 0300pm and go off at 10:00. No daylights or moonlights. Longer photoperiods increase algae growth. If you have T5 or LED lights you might want other light periods but 12 on 12 off is more like what they get on the home reef.

I switch. In summer I run 12 hours white 4 hours blue. Generally starting at 7am. In Winter I run 10 hours white 4 hours blue, also generally ramping up at 7am. I don't run SPS so i kinda link the 10-4 overall better as if you let nitrates/phosphates slip a little you have less chance of growing algae since you have less light. If I ran SPS id say 12-4 would be best in my case.
