I am looking for advice for what I currently have to promote coralline algae growth, not get rid of your lighting & go with this. I am on a budget & just looking for help.
Tank info:
1.55 gallon with 45 lbs live rock
2. Established tank (20 lbs rock is new)
3. Current loop lighting system with 2 660gph pumps.
4. System is fully programmable, sunrise, sunset, actinic blue only, ect.
5. No soft corals at this time, 2 clown fish.
6. All water perameters are good.

Just looking for a staring point. 2 hours blue in the morning only, 4 hours full light, 2 hours blue at night. Sorry if my wording is not as technical as some on this site. Just looking for a general stating point. Thank you for the help.

i would say yr light schedule is adequate.

what is the origin of yr live rock? how much coralline algae is already on it??

as it grows, i would lightly scrape any coralline algae to help it disperse throughout the tank.

also make sure you have a healthy level of calcium in the tank.
