do you have your lights on a timer? if you do what timer are you using??

Ive been using 2 I got at HD, Ive been using them bout 2 yrs with no problems. They were less than $10.00s....Johnnie

Some people will tell you that timers from WalMart, HomeDepot, Lowe's, etc. are not reliable. I'm using 8 of them. 6 have been in service since '99. No problems.

I also use the ones from Home Depot. Till I get my RKE.

I use the Intermatic electronic ones from Lowe's. I like them as they have a battery backup so when the power goes off you don't have to reset the timer.

i use the intermatic ones too.the outdoor version they have a short cord and 2 outlets.they are also 7 day programable.they run about 20 bucks i think.

I use three different timers right now...all of them were about $10 from Lowes and I've never had any problems. You figure, its a pretty simple mechanism really...as long as the thing keeps spinning at a normal speed, it trips the switch as the pegs pass it. IMO, its always best to keep it simple.

walmart timers are what i use

I use to use those. But when i made the switch over to the electronic ones it was so much better. They are more accurate too and you can program different times for different days. The best part is the battery backup as i don't even have to redo the timer when the power goes out. I like to keep everything as simple as can be.

i think i have the same or at least same style timer as you are mentioning and i got them at walmart i think they were $15 a piece

thanks for the input everyone... the timer i had was one of those multi plug ones we picked up at petsmart. well it started freakin out so i need to replace it. think i will go with one of the ones from lowes then...

I use these, too. But they break and I end up plugging Grasslin timers into them. They're a slick design, but not very reliable.

I do. I have an outlet wired through an industrial intermatic timer.
