I had a couple PC's sitting on top of my 29 gallon that I've converted to a frag tank and knew that I needed to upgrade the lighting in order to see any growth (all zoanthids). I upgraded and put a pair of 24W t5's in the tank (one aqua blue special and one blue plus), but I'm worried that it still won't be enough.
I've noticed that some of the zoanthids that I have in the tank, are not nearly as "full" as they use to be in my nano (which has a 70W 14k halide). I'm not sure if this is because they were sitting under PC's for ~ 2 months or what. Basically, if you look at the skirts of these zoanthids, they use to be plump and short, but now they are long and skinny. Will they eventually plump up again now that they are under the T5's, or will I need more light?
I'm also dosing Kent Tech 1 and Sailfert All-in-One. Any suggestions on what I can do to bring these zoanthids back to their original state?

That's what I thought too, but I was assured and reassured by many people that these are the way to go if you don't want a halide - These seem a great deal brighter than the PCs and seem to penatrate better throughout the whole tank.

You need a 4 bulb fixture with individual reflectors to have an effective t5 fixture imo. But in a frag tank you might be able to get away with 2 bulbs if you have the coral close to the light.
