So I'm cycling my new setup with Dr tims. I wondering what you guys doing with your lighting while u cycle your tanks..... couple hours a day? Full normal cycle? Dark? Just thinking about how to keep a bad algae bloom from happening.

I think most may disagree, but light is a normal and consistent component in the end you're looking to achieve, so I say run your lights like normal. Most initially cycling tanks have cyano, with needs light, and its occurrence is a normal and expected phase. Same with algae that will grow initially, then wane away. Lights therefore help the process along, and seems to be a required component, even when, or especially when, initially cycling. Just my opinion.

I've run them just moon for 3 days than 2 days normal starting to get diatoms so I think I'm gonna run only moon for a few days.
