Lighting

I have a 30" deep 4' tank. Am unsure what sort of lighting to go with. Would like to tank to house soft coral and fish.

I had a 110 tall that was 30" deep used diy leds and grew sps on bare bottom.

4-6 lamp T-5 would work.

When it comes to lights, its really up to you what you like to see in your tank, shimmer, not shimmer and if power consumption is an issue. If you want go to your LFS and see how the tanks look under T5 vs LED vs MH... JMO
