Looking to get new lighting for my corals and a mount for my tank you guys have giving me ideas on lighting just need mounts and also is it good to take my lid off or leave it on thanks

I'd say the lid is up to you if you don't have fish that like to jump. I have to have one for my tank because of my spotted Goby. It doesn't jump when it get startled anymore since it settled in, but you never know, I've had 2 die on me carpet surfing.

The lid may also deteriorate your light intensity, make sure the lid let's through enough lighting.

That's just my two pennies here.
 
Yup my lid does block some of my lighting I have to really think if I have any real jumpers
Yeah that can be tricky, in my opinion what I did was I cut the egg crates and left holes where I placed acetate, the slides used for overheads. You could even select colors. You would cut the egg crates where you know to have clusters of corals. That way you end up with a stronger frame of egg crates with sections of acetate to let more light through.
