So I'm thinking of adding some ultra violet (name of color not actually uv) leds to help corals grow I've been reading allot of good things people say about their corals after adding purple to there lighting system but these were online post so thought I would ask some actual people who can respond what they think they also said it really makes color really pop I'm just getting into corals so the lighting stytem I got does a good job with color they are 2 300w led full spectrum but I see other tanks and the corals look like they are glowing like they are radioactive so I want the same affect just don't know what colors are doing that to achieve the same

I recommend watching the latest BRS video on the Orphek Atlantic V4. This LED has been rated as having the widest spectrums for coral color and growth. I also suggest not using the 380nm 3w led chips by bridgelux or epistar. They have to be changed out every 6 months. But a good array of 410, 420, 440nm will do you just fine.
