Hi all I’m new here and new keeping a tank and hopefully fish and coral soon. I have just gone through the brown ugly stage and would love some help with my lighting. I understand the brown is aLL if your old chilled like a look no further. just Part of the cycle but I plan keeping coral if I can. I have tmc reef photons and would like any feed back regarding intensity and spectrum as I have no clue . Watched a few YouTube vids and now I feel worse lol so please help this noob

I just purchased a replacement metal Halide set up for my ~4'x2' surface area, 18 inches of water. I like the blast of 250W lights but lots of options in led's. GL!

Well there is Fluval Lighting is led.
you can get Really nice Just make sure you get the Reef lighting not the one's that are setup for Fresh water and Salt water Fish only

These corals don't require too much light, so I would try CH1 - 20%, CH2 - 60%, CH3 60%, CH4 - 5%, CH5 - 60%, CH6 - 20%

I would do the intensity at 50% and ramp up to 100% over a few weeks. If you notice any bleaching or corals closing up then back off the intensity.
