So last night, i was messing with my black light. I decided to shine it on the tank. Keep in mind that i have a LED Kessil light a160we. 20% white and 80% blue. After my light shut off. I took the handheld black light and light up the tank. What i saw was amazing. I saw my coral lit up like i have never seen it before. The colors stood out. I have 2 montis, a bi color hammer, 2 wonderwoman and one pink Cadillac acro.

What i was asking, is it possible to use a black light on the aquarium as a addition to make the coral stand out? Or is it possible to light it up at night with a black light? If so, what black lights are best for aquariums?

I think you should try an actinic light. Those are known for creating glow

The wave length has no value for coral but not seen anybody report as creating any problems.

If you are referring to red and green, there is evidence of red triggering the coral to shield themselves from light in some sps. Then again, they don't have many red leds on them.
