I don’t think you’d be able to get away with anything less than 4 LED fixtures given the dimensions (especially if you want somewhat even lighting). I think the Noopsyches would be a good option (or the Hydra 32s, or Radion XR30s if your budget allows). If possible, I would mount them in a sort of windmill pattern, sort of like this:

Not a single fixture option type of tank, unless you were to try an Orphek Atlantik mounted high above the tank. I doubt it will give you the intensity you need for SPS at a height that gives you full tank coverage. Noopsyches are a good, inexpensive option but you'll need 3 or 4.

Welcome to r2r lighting.....there are plenty of options like everyone has stated from brand name to black box that will work. The kessils are an awesome light. I know a lot of hobbyist that have them.

Looking for advice on a 150 gal 48"x 48" square sps tank set up. Was hoping for a single hanging light fixture. Is that possible?

Welcome! Glad you joined. Theoretically, if you gather the SPS under light aka lighted area than would think yes though you'd get many saying no. Also keep in mind as they grow away from center and no light on other sides, that will impact growth. As you get further from center, perhaps mushrooms or bare sand by the time you reach corners - you'll know best. Good luck to you!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
