Do zoas like higher light

I always thought they were lower light but zoas higher up in my aquarium seem more happy than the lower ones

i have 3 radion xr15 pro

Not sure what size tank you have, on my sand bed I have a various collection of zoas and all are open and multiply. I run 5 xr30 pro, use the WWC schedule. Love my sps, but still need zoas.

Mine near the same, 72x30x24. Anything above half way and they tend to open but don’t really grow and eventually melt away. Could well be the difference between the lights you and I run.

Wondering if you might be a bit light on the lighting (pun intended). 3 xr15s for a 6’ tank seems a bit light so perhaps your Zoa’s are doing better higher up because they need more light.

When i set the tank up my lfs thought they would be enough-the owner had radions on his tank

I know its been upgraded for about a year in 1/2 now

i know growth hasnt multiplies, i know i have intensisty at 52%-parameters chemistry for water have tested in tolerance

it sucked though i had dealt with a lfs for like 15 yrs-was going to do my upgrade and then life happened and had to find another company to do my tank

I’d try slowly increasing the intensity. At 52% you have plenty of upside. That could be enough to make a difference.
