Lighting ?

For those with larger aquarium, while everything seems fine, consider myself knowledgeable, but no expert…and/or smart…

when i upgraded a year ago to my 180g, my LFS who has been around 15+ years, became my new LFS, recommended going with 3 g5 radion xr15 pro…coverage 24x24 per light, right , i run softies and lps and leathers so no sps to worry about, not getting into sps.

everything seems fine, corals seem fine, polyp extension…but being the paranoid aquarist, wonder if they need any supplemental light addition, curious what lights you have gone with on your tanks. Not getting rid of current light system,

below some pics of tank, left side kenya’s aren’t extending, the day of pics had just shifted some rock placement for better stability.

Also-run my radion on lps/soft setting, wondering if i should run on ab+

Tank looks great and your lighting is sufficient. Let your eyes be your guide now. Can you do more lights? Sure- do you need more lights? Not from what I’m seeing. You may as corals grow get areas where shading or shadowing occurs- then consider a light angled to address the shadow

Looks good and you are all set. I would stick with LPS setting or try the wwc LPS schedule which I think is a little more blue florescent.

Ab+ is mainly for sps, but if you like the look.....that is totally up to you

You can supplement these lights with 2 orphek OR3-120 light bars *sky blue and blue plau)
