Just curious. I have a pair of Lightning Maroons (mated pair- lay eggs every 2 weeks). and have had them since they were both about 1" in size. (the male may have been smaller). From the first day they were introduced into the tank, they both immediately dove into the anemones. (2 rainbow and 1 acid green bubbletips). I immediately noticed that the female would rub against all of them like a crackhead. She's much larger now and still goes berserk from one to the other and then drives in the larger one and goes into a coma like state for a little bit. Then all of a sudden that daffy crazy fish dashes out into another anemone and dives in and does the same thing. At one point she would would rub against the tentacles so hard that I noticed one of the anemones had much fewer tentacles. (had to move that one temporarily into another tank in order to recuperate.) She's calmed down a bit lately. Maybe cause she's fat...lol

Is this normal with these breeds? I see other types having a much more peaceful relationship with their anemones. Any insight would be helpful.

Sounds like normal clownfish behavior

I figured as much. The male is very chill, but she's as much out there as I am. Hey, we're all here cause we're not all there.
