Looking for help on lighting. I'm setting up a 75 gl reef tank with softies and a clam (eventually). My choices are a 2 aquatic life halo LED's or 2 AI Prime he's. Looking for opinions.

Don’t have any experience with the halos but I know the primes are excellent! I have one on my frag tank. So from the 2 options you have. My vote is for the primes. You’ll need to be mindful of the clam placement, they like the light and 2 primes on a 4 foot 75 gallon would considered low light.

I have the Halos and while they are great lights, they do not have the adjustability of the primes which many reefers like.

I use the halos between three Blackboxes to blend the light better.

I’m have a 3 radions with 8 t5s on my 220g. And have just gotten 3 Orphek OR3s for my 29g. I chose them for there great spread, more powerful than t5s, don’t have to replace every 6-12 months. Not any controllability but throw them on a apex or timer and you have a time cycle. Set each one to turn on at a later or earlier time and you have a sunrise/ sunset. Plus you’d only need 2-3 I think. Control is overrated
