Looking for some lights to cover a 48in tank
On a budget
Let me know if anyone is willing to help out!!
Located in SoCal near Temecula

First thing you should have in mind is what are you trying to keep on the 48 inch tank.

If I were looking for lighting a tank today I would go with hydras 26 HD. They're on sale, small footprint and yet powerful.

Still learning everything, i would like to start off with some lps as iv heard there a bit easier to learn with eventually would like sps, and some nems, would like some movement in the tank as that’s what my kids and wife love

How many hydra 26’s would i need? Still trying to figure out light spread on different lights for what my end goal will be

Can you tell me the dimensions? 48 x ? x ?

I'm using 2 xr15s. Doesn't cover entire tank fit sps, but it does cover enough for my mixed reef.

I have a 48” 12 bulb t5 light. 8 bulbs are working, other 4 turn on and off randomly probably a loose wire or ballast
