Hey all! I’ve got a 4g that could really do with a light upgrade (currently has a light from a cheap starter set, just what I had on hand).

I’m mostly aiming to keep softies so it doesn’t need anything super fancy, but preferably with adjustable color/at least multiple settings.
I’ve looked into some of Kessil and Zetlights smaller lights, but I was hoping to hear what other people have used and liked before making a decision! Doesn’t seem to be much on the market for tanks this small..

I had a 5g in my office a few years ago and I just made a light from the light it came with. What's your current light made from? Mine was aluminum so I pulled it apart and bought some LEDs from rapid led along with a dimmable driver. I was going to add a heatsink but it never got hot enough to need one.

Let me see if I can pull up a picture from my phone

Here we go... I used it a a fuge light when I move to a new office. I don't remember adding a fan but it looks like I didn't some point.

awesome, thanks for including the pic. The one I have now is from the JBJ picotope kit, just plastic with a yellow and a blue led tube. It worked alright at first but it’s rusted out and not strong enough for some of my greedier mushrooms

(Idk why it keeps loading upside down)
