So I'm aware that lights are not needed during a cycle but I have found these on my rock and was wondering if it was worth running the lights during my cycle?

It can't hurt anything to leave the lights on and see what they grow into :)

Fascinating! Only benefit of leaving the lights off is minimizing any algae growth as the biology settles. You might try running a very short light cycle each day, like 4 hours or so, to strike a balance.
