SO GONNA UPGRADE TO A WATERBOX TANK THE 230.6 VERSION AS FAR AS LIGHTING WHICH WOULD BE A GOOD CHOICE T5 OR LED I LIKE THE ORPHEK V4 BUT NOT MUCH INFO ON THEM THIS WOULD BE FOR A SPS DOMINANT TANK

If you can swing the cost, check out t-5/led hybrid lighting. A lot of people going this route are reporting good results.

Can. Ever go wrong with Radions... I have 5 over my 8' 240 SPS tank.. corals grow like crazy

With something similar to the spread of a Radion, 5' should have at least 3. If running front to back as oppose to side to side, you get better coverage on a deeper depth tank. Ie. A 30" deep front to back tank would benefit from running the lights front to back. If narrower, side to side is just fine

Tank is 26” besides the radion was looking at the orphek they say one unit covers 48x24 so was thinking 2 of them if I don’t go with radions or t5

Did you pick your lights? I am going with the Waterbox 220.6 and considering Orpheks as well. I think with Radion you would need 4 30s. Not sure though. If that is the case Orpheks appear more cost effective if you can get away with two. I also agree, not a fan of the T5 combo especially since there is no 60” dimmable.

goin with the 190.5 decided on 3 xr30w g4 pros yes orpheks were more cost affective but saw alot of mixed reviews so it got me 2 think ive had radions since day one so im not gonna mess around change anything

Thanks you. I guess I am wishing there was a cheaper alternative, but I again agree. I too have Radions xr15ws on my existing tank and they work great. I need to just bite the bullet and go with what I know will work. Thanks for helping work through this decision. Now I need to mortgage the house (jk). LOL.
