Lights hooked up to surge protector blew?

So I have a pretty big phyto culture set up. Theres about 8 pumps and 3 lights hooked to 2 outlets. 3 pumps and all 3 lights are plugged into a surge protector and I also had a DC pump and UV sterilizer hooked up to that surge protector. I went to unplug the pump and sterilizer and as soon as I did all 3 lights shorted out. The pumps hooked up to the surge protector as still working and the surge protector is showing its still protected. The surge protector is rated for up to 2500 watts and I'm nowhere close to that, any ideas what the heck happened?

Nevermind I figured it out. Crap surge protect broke. It was 12 outlets, 2 rows of 6 and one of the rows blew... What a cheap piece of crap:mad:
