Lights off

Hello! Right now I only have fish and no coral. Is it Ok to have my lights offs to keep down my algae?

Yes. Fish dont need much light. I would not "black out" the tank. Normal room lighting should be fine.

+1 about fish & light.
However if your algae has been taking over tank, then simply turning off light won't make those algae go away.

Even a reduction in white light intensity will work
