Hello,

Almost all light fixtures are run pointing light straight down. I want to add two single T5 bulbs on opposite ends of my tank pointing inward on 45 degree angle in theory intersecting in middle area of tank, casting light in areas of corals that may be shadowed.

Basically I have no more room directly on top for another fixture and pointing them straight down on ends of tank will waste light.

I have glass hoods, my question is , will this light coming in on an angle reflect off the glass and not even make it into the water? Waste?

Thanks.

You'll probably get some refraction, but I suspect the majority of the light will end up where you want it (if you have an image of your current setup others might be able to give you some additional suggestions).
