Should I keep my light on after cycling my tank recently? Even if there is no coral?

I like to keep my lights off for a couple months on a new tank and then slowly ramp them up and adjust as I start stocking based on the needs of corals and the amount of algae growth I’m experiencing.

There are fish :) only two at the moment! Alright I'll keep them off till corals then :)

Do you have enough daylight for the fish to tell when it’s day time or night time ?

I have the tank near my backyard sliding door which is basically a big window XD but blinds cover it and some indirect light comes through!
