I have a friend who purchased the 44e for his 40gal breeder ... if the light is above the fixture high enough it will cover the tank. Me personally would have went with 2 units. I believe these units cover a 24x24 area. I have to Lumentek pro 120's on my 48" (75gal) DT and they light my tank up beautifully.

Thank you! Do you know what kind of PAR you are getting to the sand bed with your lights on your 75gal? I'm thinking about upgrading to LED's over my 48" 90gal.

What would be the best lights for zoas and getting the color to pop?
What size tank? Are you looking for a blue/dawn/dusk/moon light or a all around light? For a dawn/dusk blue light, I would go DIY. Most other options are too expensive or pretty bad....
For an all around light, reefbreeders is like reef radiance, but I prefer their layout. Razor is better IMO, DIY is even better than that.

I would say the Dm-132E has plenty of spread for a 40 breeder. I know if I crank them up 100% on both, I am pushing 500 PAR at the bottom of a 10 gallon. two would do very well on a 90.

I emailed rick to get numbers with the lementek 240 over a 55gal he got a par of 430 28 inches from the light to give you a general idea. Thats with the light on the max settings which you would never use.

Hi James - finally got around to doing PAR values on the LUMNENTEK PRO 240. This were taken over my 55 gallon tank. The distances provided are in inches from the bottom of the light so you can see how this works for you based upon how close to the water line your light is mounted. Unlike other manufacturers - who use the highest of their reads - we take 5 at every location and average them out so you get an accurate representation of the actual PAR that reaches your coral.

At 11 inches PAR is 748
At 18 inches PAR is 509
At 28 inches PAR is 443

Thanks for chance to share this.

How do you like the color of your tank under 132e? I got one recently and have it on my 29g. It looks a bit pinkish to me compared to the color of Phoenix 14K which is bright and white with a hint of blue.

on my 200g i have 250w hqi 20k in the center...on the left and right of it i have2 x 240w 50/50 leds and for highters i have two par58 blue and purple and two par38 full spectrums...its like christmas and everything grows like crazy...............
