Start with a freebie app on your smartphone since they're FREE....you can get an idea of how measuring light works.
While you're playing with the app, please order a handheld lux meter from any major online dealer....something like the "LX-1010B" that I use should be great. They only cost $10-$20, delivered! Much better readings and reliability than apps.
I can guess that they are capable of around (55 x 3 = ) 165 watts, but that doesn't help you a lot.....plus, they are dimmable lights!
BTW, when you try the app, measure something like sunlight first to make sure you get sane readings. Software isn't always compatible with hardware, plus your phone might have multiple cameras so you might need to tell the app which one to use. Peak, direct sunlight would be up to/around 100,000 lux. An overcast day might be around 10,000 lux.
