So, I am thinking of upgrading my lights. I have some LED's now, not even sure of brand/make.
My question is this:

Kessil
AI
Ecotech

Which one is the one?

Tank will have SPS/LPS and soft corals.....kinda leaning towards Kessil....seems to be the hot product right now.

If it's going to be heavy sps I would go ecotech just because of all the success stories. If it's going to be more of a mixed reef with a few sticks and mainly lps/softies the kessils would be a good option.

Do NOT purchase Ecotech! OMG,......I just recently purchased 3 Radion Gen 4 Pro's. (3 months ago) What a $3000 dollar mistake! I have had to send back 3 each, either power supplies or lights in the last three months. Yesterday,.....a fourth light went out while they were making adjusts through their Reef Link. They finally had me send back ALL three lights yesterday. I am now with no Ecotech Lights over my reef tank. (Does not matter,....I have not had three working lights since day one) My advice,.......buy ANYTHING,......an incandescent 60 watt bulb before purchasing anything from Ecotech. That said,....once they send me 3 new light fixtures,.......anyone want to buy three new lights,.......$500 each light,......and I will throw in the mounting brackets and rail for a six foot long tank. Keep an eye on eBay,......that is where I will be posting them shortly.
I will then be posting my own topic here,.......what OTHER brand of lights does anyone recommend for a mixed reef tank,.....other than ANYTHING with Ecotech in its name!

I went with Kessil’s and am very happy.
I finally have them ramped up to about 90% and things are looking good.

I only have 3 over a 6’ - 220 gallon tank and the coverage is great.

I always debate adding one or two more but don’t see the need presently.

Thank you for your reply. Exactly which Kessil's do you have? I would like to check them out as they seem to have a very good reliability name behind them. And at this point,.....reliability is probably the most important factor in my purchase. I am also considering Maxspect Etherails. (To many lights to decide) But your input and their reliability may help make my decision. Thank you for your reply.

No problem!
I have the a360WE
I have found their support to be excellent and they integrate with Apex perfectly. You can fully control them with your Apex and ramp them up and down throughout the day. You can control color and intensity separately and if you don’t have an apex they have their own controller or you can do it manually on the lights themselves.

Thank you for your very quick reply. You have made up my mind. I will also be purchasing three of these with their controller. I was just reading about these when I got notice of your reply. It's official,...you can now claim to be a salesman of these lights. I am buying them. Thanks again.

Hahaha....there is a whole Kessil thread on here somewhere. I can’t find it now because I am using the app, but it’s good.

Thank you. I was leaning Maxspect Etherails,....3 each. But your reply pushed me over. I am now removing them from cart and adding the Kessil's with mounts. Just need to find their controller.

You’re welcome!
Like with everything you will find different opinions and experiences with each product.

I'm about to buy lights too. I'm looking at Giesemann Aurora T5 led combo.
