Hi all, I have a juwel rio 300 tank with t5 bulbs in the hood. It uses 4 54w bulbs on 2 seperate units. One of the units has failed and I'm hoping it's just a faulty ballast I can replace. My question is do I need 4 bulbs running? The tank was originally made for freshwater. I have a blue bulb and a 50/50 bulb in the working unit. The other unit has a 50/50 and a marine white in it, but obviously not working at the moment. Have attached a picture of the tank today with just the 2 bulbs working.

Great question. It depends on the needs of your corals how much PAR you need. Softies, not so much. But any hard corals are probably going to need more PAR.

It looks like those are all softies, but I would think long term you will want to replace, or pick up another fixture.
