The type of corals you'd like to keep and tank size aside, the biggest differences are mounting hight, power, and color. If you don't care about the legs or having to suspend the lights high over a tank to maximize spread the photon will probably get a larger vote. The 50s are modeled after the Kessil's so they are pretty simple to implement have an aesthetically more pleasing mounting option, but there may be shadowing issues in the long term.

The real question is have you seen either of them in person. That's the real comparison you should be making.
