3 months into new tank. Lime green algae starting to grow. Some spots I am seeing pink/ purple algae. Is this a good sign? Is this coroline algae?

i get really hard lime green coraline algae, looks just like the purple stuff but green. thats a good sign. but if its soft and stringy it could be bacterial

If it doesn't come off the rocks easily then what your seeing is just a prelude to the purple Coralline algae that shows up in our tanks. No worries.

Coralines actually come in lots of colors. I once had some in orange, but they were accidentally propagated in a low O2 environment.

Keep a eye on your Phosphates most green algae is not good and can be from excess nutrients .
.

Search green algae and came upon this thread. I am having the same situation and after testing everything is perfectly fine. Great to hear. Never have seen lime grean corraline.
