Okay so I have brown algae. Most likely diatoms. And it just blows away but I also have found some lime green algae and it doesn’t blow away and I cannot scrape it off the rocks with my fingernail. I have a bad picture hopefully someone can help. If not that’s okay too. Thanks in advance #reefsqaud

Just skimmed OP's build thread... WELCOME TO THE ADDICTION!

Given an early December wet date, expect several ugly stages ahead for the first 6 months. Colors will include rust, green, brown, maybe even some red. You are building a reef biome from scratch without the advantage of 16m years of evolution and quadrillions of gallons on your side. So no fast changes; only tiny incremental baby changes.

Just keep the basics of temp and salinity together for a while. Maybe seed with a little live rock from a TRUSTED source.

Thanks man! I think I did a little bit of rushing but I’ve only lost one coral so far! It wasn’t doing to hot when I got it tho it was a 3 headed blasto and one head was dead already
