Is there a general consensus to whats considered the smallest one can go with tank design?
I'll start by saying I have two nano tanks, Waterbox mini 6 and a Seapora 4gallon cube. and have taken inspiration from 12GallonNano 's tank on youtube.

The plan is drilling the mini 6 as the DT and using the 4 gallon as a "sump"
In the hole layout theres two on the back glass and one on the side. With two 3/4" drains at different levels. One to act as a main full siphon drain and the other as a trickle drain to set water level, and a 1/2" return.

Is 5mm glass to thin to drill?
Is 3/4" a large enough drain?
At a 3ft head height is the syncra silent 1.0 enough power?

Any and all comments and help would be greatly appreciated!

Small tanks can be set up and maintained successfully. This is a picture of our first Model 12 full wet/dryAIO. It is over 40 years old and has been used as a reef, saltwater fish only, planted tank, feeder tank, and refugium. The original lighting was an OSRAM CFL. The powerhead is still original. Today it is a freshwater.
