I just got some astrea snails, and noticed 1 looked like it had a deformed shell. After doing some research I discovered it could be some type of limpet. I was able to pull it off, and the snail seems to be fine. Anybody know what exactly it is? Snails are currently in my invert QT. Is it anything to be concerned about before putting them in the DT?

Yep, that’s a slipper limpet. It just tags along on the snail, doesn’t hurt it

So i’m assuming they’re reef safe? I found another snail with one. Should I just leave it?
