Lion fish has scratches from

My lip my fish looks pretty scratched up i movers him a in 5 gallon bucket but he did scratche himself pretty bad any ways to help him recover pls love this guys I just loved him from qt to the 75 gallons pls help there more on the other side just can’t get a good photo only have 2 clown in the 75 with him

Did you purchase the lion fish like this? Is there anything that could be challenging it? i.e. larger fish? Might just be a blemish.

Did he get scratched up while you were trying to move him?
It should heal on its own, just keep the water clean.

Okay nice and yea I’m pretty sure he got scratched by the 5 gallon bucket when he freaked out but I had him for like 5 months got him at petco so qt him for a long time this is his first day in the big tank he looks okay but the scratches look like they hurt or might turn into a bacterial infection is what I’m worried about anything to help prevent a bacterial infection I had him in copper and he did good I’m there no issues just sad to see him all scratched up

I wouldn’t be too stressed.
Very different fish (and freshwater), but when I had to move my severum cichlid a similar thing happened. It healed up on its own.

Update it’s Been 2 days and he’s fine eating normal and swimming like usual thanks everyone!
